Antonín Procházka (1882-1945) and Kubín were both members of the Osma artistic group. Procházka, an expressionist, found himself in a struggle what to do next following the events of World War I, which was a tomb of many ideals of the avant-garde. Ultimately, he found his path in a return to bucolic scenes, drawing from ancient tales, aesthetics, and folklore.
