curator: Petra Příkazská

Zdenek Seydl (1916-1978) made his debut as an artist during World War II. He was a painter and a member of Sedm v říjnu artistic group. He got up to be one of the most interesting Czech artists. Over the years he developed a peculiar style full of playful allusions and original forms of artistic expression. Later, he shifted away from painting to focus on applied graphics, book illustrations, typography, and animated films.
