CZECH FINE ART OF THE 20th CENTURY

Installed on four floors of the gallery building, the large permanent exhibition traces the development of Czech art from the turn of the 20th century up to the present. All important artistic trends that influenced modern and contemporary Czech art are represented here. Particularly representative individual collections of works are those of Czech Surrealism (including J. Štyrský, Toyen, J. Istler and F. Muzika), the work of Skupina 42 [Group 42] (including K. Lhoták, F. Gross and J. Smetana) and art of the 1960s (including M. Medek, B. Dlouhý, J. Kolář and K. Nepraš).
